En un género dominado por los hombres, estas mujeres son pilares de la igualdad, luchadoras y muy talentosas que dedicaron su vida a este arte. Más que iconos del jazz, con su espíritu creativo, inspiraron e inspiran a nuevas generaciones de mujeres músicas.
